Forty-seven years ago in 1976, this building opened on State Road 32 in Westfield with an eye doctor, insurance company, and ice cream shop. Today, the region’s famous White House Donuts (Owner Jim Hicks photographed above cutting the ribbon) has called the building home for over 20 years. Korean BBQ & Chicken is the most recent addition, with either one large space or two smaller shops now available for rent through WKRP Indy Real Estate.

Building owners John Schaaf and Tom Hedrick purchased the building in 2022 and immediately went to work on renovating and upgrading the building and its Main Street presence. The City of Westfield even helped contribute to the process and awarded them a $15,000 facade improvement grant to put towards the project.

Wednesday’s ribbon cutting by the Westfield Chamber and Downtown Westfield Association celebrated the effort the owners and tenants are making to make downtown Westfield beautiful.
