Updates to Sheriff’s Office website make it easier to see upcoming sheriff’s sales

Hamilton County Sheriff Dennis Quakenbush has announced new improvements to the Sheriff’s Office website, specifically the Sheriff Sale section.

A Sheriff’s Sale is a public auction at which property that has been defaulted on is repossessed. The proceeds from the sale are used to pay mortgage lenders, banks, tax collectors, and other litigants involved who have lost money on the property.

The website’s new developments will enhance the viewers ability to navigate, read and understand. The public will no longer need to come to the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office to see the properties. With the new updates, the necessary information is available on the website.

When opening the website, the different information pertaining to the properties are now linked together, i.e., documents, tax reports and mapping for the property locations. On the day of Sheriff Sales, the bid sheets will still be placed in the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office lobby at 10 a.m. and the auction will begin at noon.
