United Way of Central Indiana names new chief brand officer

Ayaz Malik began in role Aug. 5 & will oversee marketing & communications department

United Way of Central Indiana has announced that Ayaz Malik will serve as its new chief brand officer.

Malik began in his new role Monday and brings with him more than 30 years of experience in marketing and communications.

Malik comes to United Way from Sanofi Pharmaceuticals, where he spent two years as head of specialty care communications. Before that, he worked for Roche Diagnostics for 12 years and Zimmer Biomet for six years in a variety of digital strategy, marketing and communications leadership roles.

“We are excited about the experience and perspective Ayaz brings,” said Fred Payne, United Way’s president and CEO. “We look forward to working with him to further our goal of helping people live the lives they are capable of living.”

Malik has a bachelor’s degree in visual communications from Indiana University-Purdue University and an MBA from the University of Arizona Eller College of Management.
