The Fishers Unified track and field team finished as runner-up at the IHSAA state meet last Saturday at Indiana University.
The Tigers scored 112 points, behind only state champion Elkhart’s 124 points. This is the second time Fishers has been the Unified track runner-up; the Tigers also placed second in 2021. Section winners for Fishers were Evan Berding in the 100 dash, Brock Hunsaker in the 400 dash and Bennett Gorak in the shot put.
Noblesville tied for fifth place with 88 points. Lauren Pepples was a section winner in the 100 dash and Addison Boles picked up a section victory in the long jump.
Westfield scored 81 points to place ninth. Carson Faulconer was a section winner in the 100 dash, along with Lillie Wade in the 400 dash.
