American Senior Communities has announced that two of its communities, Bethany Village in Indianapolis and Riverwalk Village in Noblesville, have received the 2021 Silver Achievement in Quality Award bestowed by the American Healthcare Association and National Center for Assisted Living (AHCA/NCAL).
This award is part of the AHCA/NCAL’s National Quality Award Program, which recognizes long-term and post-acute communities nationwide for demonstrating dedication to improving the lives of their residents through consistent, quality care.
Applicants for the Silver Award status must have already attained the Bronze Commitment to Quality Award, which focuses on a community’s ability to implement a performance improvement system. At the Silver level, applicants continue to learn and develop effective approaches that improve performance and healthcare outcomes. Communities are assessed on their systems of organization, their effectiveness and their tools for improvement in their approaches. This award lays the foundation for the program’s next designation, which is the Gold Excellence in Quality Award.
“Caring people make the difference is not just a slogan, we intentionally seek individuals with a heart for service and a calling to serve seniors,” said American Senior Community COO David Stordy. “It’s an honor to be recognized for our commitment to delivering quality care. Going through the process of achieving the Silver award only makes our organization stronger.”
All 2021 honorees were recently recognized at AHCA/NCAL’s Annual Convention & Expo. Riverwalk Village is located at 295 Westfield Road, Noblesville, and Bethany Village is located at 3518 South Shelby St., Indianapolis.
