The Carmel Police Department and the Hamilton County Coroner’s office are conducting a death investigation after two people were found dead.
According to investigators, police were notified at approximately 10 a.m. on Thursday by maintenance workers who found two deceased females in an apartment located in the 1500 block of Starcross Lane.
Hamilton County Coroner John Chalfin has identified the two as Vanessa Parris, 37, and Christalia Bostos, 33. Both are believed to be sisters and lived at the apartment.
Chalfin had not released a cause of death at press time; however, investigators would not confirm or deny the incident to be a murder-suicide.
A spokesperson for the Carmel Police Department indicated they are continuing their investigation and there is no safety concern to the community.
