Two county doubles teams to compete in IHSAA tournament

Two Hamilton County doubles teams will participate in this weekend’s IHSAA individual doubles tournament at North Central.

Seven teams will compete in this year’s event, which begins at 2 p.m. Friday with quarterfinal matches. Guerin Catholic sophomores Katie Kolb and Anna Kolb will play the Fort Wayne Carroll team of sophomore Riley Glassley and freshman Chloe Ceresa. The winner of that match advanced to the semifinals, to play the winner of a match between the Jasper team of senior Paige Giesler and junior Reese Mundy, and the Evansville Central team of junior Sydnee Robinson and senior Zoee Robinson.

Fishers seniors Cassie Maurer and Caroline Ober received a bye into the semifinals, which take place at 10 a.m. Saturday. The Tigers play the winner of a quarterfinal match between Center Grove seniors Ava Beecher and Lauren Dick, and the Angola team of junior Ava Harris and sophomore Maya Harris.

Semifinal winners advance to the championship match, which takes place at 2 p.m. Saturday.
