If you go anywhere near my house today, get ready for a lot of traffic. Twisters Soda Bar, located at 10th and Plum streets in Noblesville, is having their grand opening and offering their delicious treats at half price.
I must admit, when I first heard they were taking over the former First Merchants Bank building at that location, I was a bit wary. How crazy would our neighborhood become? Would it increase the noise and traffic near my home?
I didn’t have to worry. When they had their “soft opening” in late June, I saw their directional signs and cones letting drivers know to pull into the drive-through line off 10th Street versus the smaller, narrower Plum Street (which is right by our house.) While their lines do get long, everything is orderly and moves quickly.
As for the noise, the only sounds I hear when I’m working on my laptop on my back deck are excited conversations and laughter. Many families approach the business to place their order at the shaded walk-up window. It’s been fun to wave and say hi to people I don’t often see.
And the soda combinations? Delicious. This is truly one of the best ways to get your sugar high in Old Town Noblesville!
You can view their menu on their website, twisterssodabar.com/menu. Some of the Signature Twister names will make you chuckle (Pothole … Boring Husband … Kiss the Bricks … someone’s quite creative!) Our family’s favorites include the Poolside, Creamsicle, and Bonfire. You can also make your own creations.

Prices aren’t bad, either, and it helps that they offer a punch card where after 10 punches, you receive a free signature 24-ounce Twister. My husband John likes to treat himself to a Poolside after he mows the lawn … or comes home from work … or notices that it’s a hot day. Yeah, he’s gone through a lot of punch cards already.
I’ve talked to Kelly, one of the owners, a few times now. She’s been happy to answer my questions and strives to be a great neighbor.
Twisters is just one more thing for us to love about living on the south side of Old Town Noblesville in the Plum Prairie neighborhood!
If you go today … their hours are 10:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. That’s their Monday to Saturday schedule. On Sundays, they’re open from noon to 6 p.m.
Be nice. Be patient. And since their drinks are half off today … tip ‘em generously! Because their ecstatic neighbor Amy said so.
