Troy Patton files as candidate for Westfield City Council

Troy C. Patton, who has lived in Westfield since 2000, has announced he is running for Westfield City Council At Large.

Patton

Patton, who is President of a publicly traded business and Managing Partner of another CPA related business, has loved being part of the Westfield community. He and his wife Kim have been active in PTO, sports and various endeavors in the community. Patton looks to build on this service and assist Westfield in its active pursuit of growth.

Patton says his past and current experience working with companies of all sizes – including large publicly traded entities – will bring his vast experience and knowledge to help Westfield focus on sustainable growth and finances. Named by National Organizations as one of the top CPAs in the United States, Patton plans to bring this CPA focus to the finances and structure of Westfield. Patton says he will focus on key issues of schools, growth, families and children, public safety and accountability.

“People in politics have different reasons for running,” said Patton. “I am not running against anyone, but running for the future of Westfield. Since moving to Westfield in 2000, my wife and I have had two children who have been raised in Westfield. We know a bright future awaits Westfield and hope our kids will want to come back to this area and raise their own family. For this to happen, Westfield needs to be on the forefront of fiscal responsibility. We need to make sure we create sustainable growth to build a better city for a better tomorrow.”

Patton has served in various organizations and not-for-profits since college, from board member to an active leader. He says he would like to continue to serve the community in a capacity that will best meet the needs of a growing city. He says his CPA background is unique to the City Council and will benefit the City of Westfield the same way as he has served businesses in Westfield and around the country.

Patton and his wife, Kim, who is also a CPA, have two children who are both now in high school. The family attends Northview Christian Church in Westfield.
