Trick or treating returns to Grand Junction Plaza

The City of Westfield has announced that Trick or Treating in the Plaza, presented by Centier Bank and NSPIRE Church, will return to Grand Junction Plaza, 225 S. Union St., from 5:30 to 8 p.m. Friday, Oct. 25.

This favorite community event promises a safe and welcoming environment for families, featuring more than 35 local businesses and organizations providing treats and festive fun. Attendees can enjoy a variety of carnival games and be entertained by lively performers, including a scarecrow and a stilt walker. Carnival games are $10 for 10 games; proceeds will be donated to Family Promise of Hamilton County.

As part of the evening’s events, families are invited watch Happy Halloween, Scooby-Doo! on the big screen, which will be begin at 6:30 p.m. on the Great Lawn. Additionally, there will be six food vendors on-site, along with face painting and balloon twisters for those looking to get into the fall spirit.

Free shuttle & parking

Due to the popularity of this event, a free shuttle service will operate from 5 to 9 p.m. The shuttle will pick up and drop off attendees at Westfield Intermediate School, 17710 Shamrock Blvd., and Grand Junction Plaza, 225 S. Union St. Public parking for the event is also available in the parking lot near Poplar and Park streets, and in designated on-street spots along Union Street and Mill Street.

Official City of Westfield trick-or-treating hours are 5 to 8 p.m. Oct. 31. Homes welcoming trick-or-treaters should turn on their porch lights.
