The Hamilton County Commissioners recently unveiled a new plaque in the Ceremonial Courtroom of the Historic Courthouse in honor of Judge Sue Shields. Shields, retired, was the first judge of Hamilton Superior Court No. 1 as well as the first female judge elected to a court of general jurisdiction in the State of Indiana.
