The roundabout construction at Five Points intersection is scheduled for a traffic switch tomorrow or afterward. At that time, southbound 10th Street traffic will begin traveling on the west side of the roundabout circle. During this short next phase, the center portion of the roundabout and 10th Street splitter islands will be constructed.
There will be no left turns within the intersection. Advance signage will direct motorists wishing to turn left to follow the already posted detour route which utilizes Pleasant Street and 16th Street.
For the safety of motorists and construction workers, the intersection will still remain all-way stop control.
The Five Points roundabout began construction in May and is scheduled to be completed later this month. The new design provides a safe, effective intersection without a stoplight and creates a new southern gateway into the City of Noblesville.
