Track and field: Miller girls win their own Invitational

The Noblesville girls track and field team won its own Miller Invitational Wednesday at Beaver Stadium.
Noblesville scored 181.66 points and picked up victories in 10 events. Kiana Siefert swept the 100 and 300 hurdles, placed first in the long jump, then joined Summer Rempe, Kate Rollins and Brinkley Cooper to claim the 4×400 relay.
Hannah Alexander dominated the throwing events, easily winning both the shot put (in a new school record of 43 feet, 11.5 inches) and discus. Hazelrigg won the 800 run and was part of the winning 4×800 relay, along with Rempe, Riley Flynn and Cooper. Malina Miller and Rylee Hassan tied for first place in the high jump, while Laina Lillge won the pole vault.
Westfield finished third at the meet, scoring 76.5 points. Lucy Hauser led the way with a runner-up placing in the 300 hurdles. The Shamrocks also got two third-place finishes, in the 4×100 relay (Tobi Fapetu, Lucy Hauser, Katelyn Malin and Princess Campbell), and in the 3200 run (Sydney Klinglesmith).

The Fishers boys team won dual meet with Noblesville on Tuesday, by the score of 92-40.
The Tigers won 13 of the 16 events. Tyler Tarter swept the 110 and 300 hurdles, Bryce Williams was first in the 100 dash and long jump, and Keefer Soehngen got victories in the 400 and 200 dashes. Other winners were Tate Meaux (1600 run), Daniel Armstrong (shot put), Joel Gates (discus), Josh Forbes (pole vault), the 4×100 relay and the 4×400 relay.
Noblesville got wins from Alec Moore in the 800 run and Asher Propst in the 3200 run, along with the 4×800 relay.
