Earlier this month, the Sheridan Board of Metropolitan Police Commissioners appointed Tony Craig as Chief of Police.
Chief Craig is a veteran law enforcement leader and brings his years of experience to this critical position. The Town of Sheridan is experiencing many exciting changes, and town officials say Chief Craig’s leadership will position the department to meet the community’s needs.
“I am humbled and honored by this opportunity to serve the women and men of the Sheridan Police Department and the citizens of the town,” Craig said. “The future of the town is bright, and I am excited to be part of it.”
Sheridan Town Council President Silas DeVaney, III said, “We are excited to welcome Chief Craig to the Sheridan Police Department. His past work experiences will lead Sheridan to a successful future. And his passion for family and community fit perfectly with our town.”
