Tommy Ray Lewis, 68, Arcadia, passed away on Wednesday, November 13, 2024, at IU North Hospital. On September 3, 1956, he was born in Mountain Home, Ark., to Truman and Margie (Pherigo) Lewis.
On July 15, 2000, Tommy married Patricia Susan (Rostermundt) Gruhn Lewis, and together they shared 24 wonderful years of marriage. Tommy retired from a fulfilling career in construction and was a dedicated member of the Church of Christ. He cherished his time fishing at Lake Norfork in Arkansas and attended an annual fishing trip in Michigan with friends. A true sports enthusiast, Tommy was an avid fan of the Kansas City Chiefs.
Tommy is survived by his beloved wife, Patricia Susan Gruhn Lewis, of Arcadia; his mother, Margie Marie Lewis, of Clarkridge, Ark.; sons, Matthew (Amanda) Lewis of Rea Valley, Ark., Michael (Tara) Melton of Gassville, Ark., Kyle Lewis of Tampa Bay, Fla., and Devin Lewis of Mountain Home, Ark.; daughter, Ashley (Cody) Gott of Mountain Home, Ark.; stepsons, David (Kathy) Ertz and Daniel Ertz; sisters Helen (Eddie) Parks of Clarkridge, Ark., Ann (Kenny) Thomas of Noble, Mo., and Tonya (Paul) Strain of Clarkridge, Ark.; brother, Bill (Angela) Lewis of Shawnee, Kan.; 13 cherished grandchildren; and two step-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father, Truman Ray Lewis.
In accordance with Tommy’s wishes, he will be cremated with a burial to take place at a later date. The family has entrusted his care to Hartley Funeral Homes in Cicero.
