Tipton comes out on top at Noblesville’s Bob Spacey Invitational

The Noblesville boys golf team hosted the Bob Spacey Invitational last Saturday at Fox Prairie Golf Course.

Tipton won the team title with a 313, edging out Noblesville Team 1, which scored 315. The Millers had four teams at the event, with its Noblesville Team 2 scoring 317. The meet medalist came from Team 2: Tyler Marucci scored 71.

Marucci said “the biggest thing with me is just keeping my headspace, make sure that’s good,” and as a result, everything fell into place for the sophomore.

“It’s good,” said Marucci. “I love the team. I think we got a lot of talent.”

Carmel tied for fourth with 321. Noah Johnson placed second individually with a 72.
