Timothy “Tim” Edward Lacey, 75, Arcadia, passed away on Sunday, January 14, 2024, at his residence after an extended illness. Tim was born in Elwood on December 2, 1948, to the late Roy and Betty (Hahn) Lacey.
Tim grew up locally and attended Hamilton Heights High School. As a young kid, he would often help on his grandparents’ farm and grew to enjoy that lifestyle. Upon graduating high school, he went on to become a lineman for Public Service where he worked for 20 years, and then went on to start his own company. Lacey & Sons Utility Contractors, where he worked for 10 years before retiring. After retirement, Tim returned to his love of farming and helped many family friends on their farms. Tim loved being outdoors and would take any chance he got to go fishing, boating, or camping. He also enjoyed watching TV, especially when it came to sports or NASCAR racing.
Tim is survived by his daughter, Timara Lynn (John) Williams of Noblesville; son, Jason Edward (Shauna) Lacey of Arcadia; grandchildren, Robert, Steven, Emma, Shelby, Jessica, Katlyne, and Jacob; nine great-grandchildren; and his nephew, Ben Lacey.
Tim was preceded in death by his parents, Roy & Betty Lacey; and sister, Dana Lee Cutsinger.
The funeral service will be at 2 p.m. on Saturday, January 20, 2024, at Hartley Funeral Home, 209 W. Jackson St., Cicero, with Josh Schriner officiating. Burial will follow in the Arcadia Brethren Cemetery. A time of visitation will be from noon to 2 p.m. on Saturday, January 20, 2024, at Hartley Funeral Home, 209 W. Jackson St., Cicero.
