Tigers swimmers beat Louisville teams, girls win Panther Invite

Fishers picked up a pair of dual wins over Louisville teams on Saturday.
The Tigers girls beat Sacred Heart Academy 99-84. Hannah Pratt was a double winner in the 50 and 100 freestyles, while Morgan Booth finished first in the 100 free. Fishers also won the 200 and 400 freestyle relays.
The Tigers boys defeated Louisville Trinity 119-66. Aaron Frollo paced the individual medley and 500 free, while Trevor Adcock won the 50 free and butterfly. Other event winners were Nic Silva in the backstroke, Cory Jacocks in the breaststroke, and the medley and 400 free relays.
On Friday, Fishers competed in the ninth annual Panther Invite at North Central. The Tigers girls won a close meet, scoring 471 points to runner-up Chesterton’s 454 and third-place Franklin Community’s 442. Fort Wayne Carroll scored 437. Pratt won the 100 and 200 freestyles.
Fishers’ boys placed fourth with 336.5 points; Chesterton won with 620. Frollo was victorious in the 500 free.
The Tigers girls junior varsity team won with 642 points, picking up several wins: Kylie Terpening in the 200 free, Emily Pfeifer in the 50 free, Anna Meyer in the 100 free and Amy Nguyen in the breaststroke. Fishers swept all three relays: Meyer, Pfeifer, Nguyen and Abby Miller won the medley relay; Pfeifer, Ashley Wyatt, Terpening and Nicole Rueff won the 200 free relay; and Miller, Wyatt, Terpening and Rueff won the 400 free relay.
