After a tight first half, the Fishers boys kept their unbeaten season going with a strong second half over Franklin Central.
The Class 4A No. 1 Tigers beat the Flashes 77-52 Friday in a Hoosier Crossroads Conference game at the Tiger Den. Fishers led 17-14 after one quarter, with Cooper Zachary hitting two 3-pointers. Franklin Central kept things close, cutting the Tigers’ lead to 32-31 by halftime.
Fishers came out in the third quarter and took care of business, outscoring the Flashes 22-10 for a 54-41 lead. Millen McCartney hit two 3s and Jason Gardner Jr. scored six points as well.
The Tigers rolled through the fourth quarter with another 23 points. McCartney and Zachary both nailed two more 3s; both players finished the game with six triples. Gardner added five points in the fourth.
McCartney and Zachary both totaled 18 points. Gardner scored 16, while Justin Kirby finished with 11 points.
Fishers is 4-0 in HCC play and 17-0 overall. The Tigers host Carmel tonight.
