Tigers split two games

Fishers split two games at the Center Grove Girls Basketball Shootout on Saturday.
In their first game, the Class 4A No. 6 Tigers fell to Ben Davis 71-62. Fishers led 15-10 after the first quarter and 30-23 at halftime, but the Giants took control by outscoring the Tigers 21-8 in the third period to take a 44-38 lead. Ben Davis took advantage of 16 turnovers by Fishers.
Hailey Smith scored 17 points and collected six rebounds to lead the Tigers. Complete stats were unavailable at press time.
Fishers rebounded in its second game to beat Center Grove 63-55 in overtime. The Tigers were up 30-25 at halftime and 44-37 after three quarters, but the Trojans outscored Fishers 16-9 in the fourth to force the extra period. The Tigers dominated the overtime, outscoring Center Grove 10-2.
Katie Burton scored 20 points and pulled nine rebounds, while Hailey Smith had 11 points and five rebounds. Audra Emmerson added 15 points.
Fishers is 2-1 and plays Tuesday at Anderson.
