Fishers split a pair of games at its own Fishers Classic last Saturday at the Tiger Den.
The Tigers played Fort Wayne Carroll in a morning game, falling 63-59. The Chargers led 17-16 after one quarter and 31-28 at halftime. Nevaeh Dickman scored 10 points in the first quarter. Fishers was still in the game after three periods, trailing 44-42, but Carroll outscored the hosts 19-17 in the fourth quarter.
Dickman led the Tigers with 17 points, while Allison Scheu poured in 15 points, including two 3-pointers.
In its evening game, Fishers beat Columbia City 57-53. The Tigers got off to a good start, leading 22-17 after one quarter. Fishers cruised into halftime with a 40-28 advantage. Dickman again led the way with 14 first-half points, Riley Schellhammer had nine points in the half and Scheu added eight in the second quarter.
The Tigers maintained a 49-35 lead after three quarters. The Eagles made a comeback in the fourth period, but Fishers was able to hold on. Schellhammer scored six points during the fourth.
Dickman and Schellhammer both scored 18 points, with Schellhammer making two 3s. Scheu totaled 12 points.
Fishers began the week last Wednesday by picking up a road victory at Anderson by the score of 64-20.
The Tigers led 18-8 after one quarter and 41-12 at halftime. Schellhammer scored 15 points in the first half, while Dickman scored all of her 13 points in the first half. Schellhammer drained three 3-pointers in the third quarter, bringing her game-high total to 24 points; she made four triples for the entire game.
Scheu finished the game with 11 points. Nicole Ellison scored eight points in the second half.
Fishers is 3-2 for the season.
