A spectacular free-throw shooting performance by Willie Jackson helped Fishers to pick up its third consecutive win on Friday.
The Tigers beat Pendleton Heights 63-49 at the Fishers gym. The first three quarters of the game were close, with the Arabians leading 14-11 after the first quarter and 26-13 at halftime.
Pendleton still was up 39-38 after three periods, but it was all Tigers after that, as they outscored the Arabians 25-10 in the fourth.
Jackson made 19 of 23 free throws, on his way to 30 points. If that wasn’t enough, he also grabbed six rebounds and dished out four assists. Armaan Franklin also scored eight points, handed out five assists and collected five rebounds as well.
Connor Washburn led the rebounding with seven boards and also made two blocked shots. Jason Slain had a block as well.
Fishers is now 9-10, and hosts Franklin Central at 7:30 p.m. tonight.
