Tigers get hard-fought win at Anderson

Fishers played its first game in 11 days on Tuesday, traveling to Anderson and returning home with a hard-fought 56-50 victory.
The Tigers, ranked No. 2 in the Associated Press Class 4A poll and the IBCA one-class rankings, jumped out to a 12-9 advantage after the first quarter, then led 28-24 at halftime. Myles Stringer scored seven points in the first half. The IBCA No. 20 Indians came back to lead 37-35 after three quarters, but Fishers regained the lead by the fourth, scoring 21 points to get the win.
Jeffrey Simmons led the way with 14 points, scoring all of them in the fourth quarter, including three 3-pointers. Stringer finished with nine points, while Jalen Haralson and Bryce Williams both added seven points. All nine Fishers players that took to the floor scored.
The Tigers are 16-2 and play Friday at Pendleton Heights.
