For the fifth time in the last six seasons, the top-ranked Class 4A Fishers Tigers proved they’re the best in the Hoosier Crossroads Conference.
Fishers capped a third straight undefeated HCC season on Friday, Feb. 20, with a decisive 66-42 victory at Zionsville. The unbeaten Tigers improved to 22-0 on the season and finished a perfect 7-0 in the HCC to capture the league title outright.
The win marked the program’s 25th consecutive HCC regular-season triumph.
Junior Levi Walker led the Tigers at Zionsville with a game-high 18 points. Senior Kai McGrew had 17 points, and junior Cooper Zachary added 10 to give Fishers a trio of players in double figures.
The Tigers used efficiency to roll past the host Eagles, as a lopsided 19-3 third quarter padded Fishers’ 29-28 halftime advantage.
