Songbook Academy in Concert
Saturday, July 20 at 7 p.m.

The Songbook Academy in Concert is an exciting showcase of the next generation of artists celebrating the enduring influence of the American Songbook. Hosted by Michael Feinstein, this multimedia concert features talented young vocalists from across the nation in solos and production numbers paying tribute to iconic composers and lyricists of American popular music from George Gershwin to Duke Ellington.

The Songbook Academy is the flagship education program of the Great American Songbook Foundation. Tickets are also available now for the Songbook Academy’s Songbook Showcase at 7 p.m. Thursday, July 18. Stay tuned for info on the Public Masterclass, which will take place earlier in the week.

Average White Band: A Funk Finale
Saturday, Aug. 10 at 8 p.m.

One of the great soul and funk bands of all time brings its farewell tour to the Center, performing its biggest hits and fan favorites such as the U.S. No. 1 single “Pick Up the Pieces,” “Cut The Cake,” “Queen of My Soul,” “Walk On By” and “Schoolboy Crush.” Formed in London in 1972, the Average White Band took the influences of R&B heroes such as Marvin Gaye, James Brown and Stevie Wonder, along with jazz greats like Cannonball Adderley and the Crusaders, and developed a sound that connected with audiences worldwide. The performance coincides with the second annual Carmel Jazz Fest.

Jerome Collins: Rewind – A Journey to Motown & Beyond
Friday, Sept. 13 at 8 p.m.

Rewind: A Journey to Motown and Beyond is a captivating solo performance featuring Jerome Collins of the famed a cappella group Straight No Chaser, 2022 inductees to the Great American Songbook Hall of Fame. This show pays homage to the legendary sounds of Motown and classic R&B, taking the audience through electrifying renditions of timeless hits from some of the world’s most iconic musicians and renowned artists. With a set list that includes songs from legends like Marvin Gaye, Aretha Franklin, Sam Cooke and Stevie Wonder, Collins’ soulful delivery ensures an unforgettable experience.

Veronica Swift
Saturday, Sept. 14 at 8 p.m.

Veronica Swift established herself as one of the world’s top young jazz singers with her first two albums, Confessions (2019) and This Bitter Earth (2021), showcasing her virtuosic technique, interpretive ingenuity, bracing songwriting and keen arrangements. She describes her latest album, 2023’s Veronica Swift, as “transgenre,” with influences that include French and Italian opera, European classical music, bossa nova, blues, funk and industrial rock. “As rooted in jazz as I’ve been, there’s a uniquely visceral power in rock and soul music that’s always fueled my creative passion,” she says. “The people I admire most show themselves unabashedly, and that’s the kind of tradition I want to be a part of.”

Nick Carter: Who I Am Tour
Thursday, Sept. 26 at 7:30 p.m.

Nick Carter was only 12 when he auditioned for what would become America’s biggest boy band. Since then, the Backstreet Boys have sold more than 130 million records worldwide and earned five Grammy nominations, along with countless Billboard Awards, MTV Video Music Awards and more. Carter’s solo career has produced three albums, along with singles including last year’s “Hurts to Love You,” which topped charts in the U.S. and Canada. His TV and film work has included his own VH1 series, I Heart Nick Carter, and appearances on The Masked Singer and Dancing with the Stars. After completing a world tour with the Backstreet Boys in 2023, Carter launched the current Who I Am Tour, his first solo outing in seven years.

Leonid & Friends: The Music of Chicago and More
Friday, Sept. 27 at 8 p.m.

Hailing from Russia, Leonid & Friends have drawn legions of fans with their uncanny ability to capture the spirit, musicality and fire of the American classic-rock group Chicago. Gaining attention with viral videos, the group has since expanded its repertoire to include such artists as Earth Wind & Fire, Blood Sweat & Tears, Ides of March, Stevie Wonder, and Steely Dan, along with new original material. The 11-piece band now has more than 700,000 followers across social media, an astonishing 200 million-plus video views, and over 200 successful U.S. shows under its belt.

Damien Escobar: Victory Lap Tour
Saturday, Sept. 28 at 8 p.m.

Contemporary soul violinist Damien Escobar returns to the Palladium to celebrate 20 years of music. Hailing from Jamaica, Queens, he began studying music as a child and at age 10 became the youngest artist ever admitted to the Julliard School, graduating at age 13. The Emmy winner and NAACP Image Award nominee began playing at New York City subway stations and first gained national attention as half of the duo Nuttin’ But Stringz before launching a solo career with his energetic performances and crossover mix of classical, jazz, pop, R&B and hip-hop.

#IMOMSOHARD: Ladies’ Night

Kristin and Jen of #IMOMSOHARD have been the voice and comedic relief for millions of women (and a few men) for nearly a decade. With more than 300 million views of their viral videos, an Amazon stand-up special, a New York Times bestselling book, a children’s book, a wine line, a podcast and a CBS pilot, these moms have been spreading the truth and the laughter about womanhood and motherhood. The OGs of the Internet, the original accidental influencers, the comedians with early bedtimes, Kristin and Jen cover the topics no one else will – with each other, with wine, with big, gummy, loud laughs. Matteo Bocelli: A Night with Matteo
Thursday, Dec. 12 at 7:30 p.m.

At 25 years old, singer-songwriter Matteo Bocelli has already performed on some of the world’s biggest stages, sharing his sensitive songs and dynamic vocal performances. In 2018, he and his father, renowned tenor Andrea Bocelli, released “Fall on Me,” a stirring duet that has amassed over 400 million streams worldwide. His debut solo album, Matteo, displays not only his strong but vulnerable vocal style, but also his songwriting on tracks including lead single “For You.” The album also includes the sweeping ballad “Chasing Stars,” written for the project by his pop hero Ed Sheeran, and the disco-tinged “Fasi,” sung in Italian.
