Bill Miller has become our unofficial concert photographer this year, but this time it was entirely a labor of love. We have never met a bigger Styx fan than this guy. He sailed away to Ruoff Music Center (it’s still Deer Creek to Bill and to us, but we do appreciate the Ruoff investment in Hamilton County) and he was just gone, gone, gone. It was nothing but radio silence for several hours while he enjoyed the music of Styx, Foreigner, and John Waite last Friday night. We thought it was urgent to get these photos on the news budget. We hope all that good music did not play head games with him. We’d hate for him to have driven home with double vision. He’s back on his feet again and ready for the next show. Don’t worry, venue formerly known as Deer Creek, Bill ain’t missing you at all … because he will be back soon!
