Three golfers make top 10 at IGA Senior Amateur Championship

Three Hamilton County golfers finished in the top 10 at the IGA Senior Amateur Championship, which took place Thursday and Friday at Royal Hylands in Knightstown.

Carmel’s Jeff Cook tied for second place with a score of three under par 139 for the two-day tournament. Cook elevated himself to the runner-up spot by going three under during the event’s second day, carding a 68. He totaled seven birdies for the tournament.

Another Carmel golfer, Lee Crannell, placed sixth with 144. He had two birdies, one in each round. Fishers’ Chris Gauss took seventh with 145. He made an eagle on the first hole during his first round, adding that to eight birdies overall for the tournament.
