Three Hamilton County divers qualified for the state meet after their performances at Tuesday’s Fishers diving regional.
Hamilton Southeastern had two divers finish in the top eight, thus earning places at state. Senior Nathan Barr placed third with 468.95 points, while freshman AJ Ricafort took fifth with 411.05 points. Fishers freshman Will Jansen finished sixth with 398.70 points, also reserving a place at state.
Carmel junior John Curcio placed 11th with 239.00 points, while Westfield sophomore Ben Hobson took 15th with 204.10 points. Oak Hill senior Caiden Lake won the regional by scoring 484.05 points.
The state competition begins at 9 a.m. Saturday at the IU Natatorium with the first round, followed immediately by the semi-finals. The diving finals take place during the swimming finals, which start at 1 p.m.
