The Tallison Hotel, A Tribute Portfolio Hotel, will open Thursday, March 6 in Carmel. This upscale boutique property draws inspiration from Frank Lloyd Wright’s architectural principles while celebrating the warmth of Hoosier hospitality.

“The Tallison is a modern and refined expression of the Midwest, uncovering the spirit of Hoosier hospitality,” Ascent Hospitality President and CEO John Tampa said. “Every aspect of the property reflects our commitment to creating an elevated guest experience that honors Indiana’s rich heritage while embracing contemporary luxury.”

Design & accommodations

This 120-room property boasts clean lines and organic material, creating a sophisticated atmosphere that pays homage to the modern Midwest design aesthetic. A local art consultant chose artists and photographers from the area whose work highlights the region’s cultural tapestry and natural landscapes, showcasing wild beautiful spaces and renowned architecture.

Meeting & event space

With over 7,000 square feet of versatile indoor event space, and a more than 3,500 square-foot courtyard, The Tallison Hotel caters to corporate gatherings, weddings, and social events for up to 300 guests. The hotel’s location along the Meridian Corridor, home to over 100 corporate headquarters, businesses, and hospitals, positions it as an ideal destination for business travelers and corporate events as well.

VYNE Restaurant

The hotel’s signature restaurant, VYNE, elevates Indiana’s culinary heritage with a menu celebrating locally sourced ingredients and regional flavors. The restaurant and bar create an inviting atmosphere for both intimate dinners and business gatherings, and features an extensive wine selection.

Leadership

The Tallison’s experienced leadership team includes:

  • Adam S. Cohen, General Manager, who brings over 12 years of luxury and boutique hotel management expertise.
  • Bethany Somsky, Director of Sales, known for developing innovative strategies and fostering strong client relationships.
  • Willie Price II, Executive Chef, has developed a philosophy that prioritizes substance over spectacle in his 20-year hospitality career.
  • Greg Wisinski, Director of Food & Beverage, brings expertise in operating and opening Michelin ranked concepts, and high-volume banquet execution.

Location & accessibility

Situated at 10210 Pennsylvania Pkwy., Carmel, The Tallison Hotel provides convenient access to central Indiana’s premier business district, world-class healthcare facilities, and cultural attractions. The property is part of a dual-hotel complex that includes the 112-room extended stay Element Indianapolis Carmel by Westin, creating an opportunity to host large groups and events at both properties.

On March 6, the hotel will begin welcoming guests; however, the grand opening celebration is not planned until May 2025. For more information or reservations, visit thetallisonhotel.com.
