The Hamilton County Reporter is naming Fishers senior Maya Taylor as its Girls Track Athlete of the Year. Taylor had a sensational season for the Tigers, sweeping the 100 dash in the five biggest meets of the spring. Taylor finished first at the Hoosier Crossroads Conference and Hamilton County meets, cruised through the post-season by winning the sectional and regional, then claimed the state championship in the 100 dash by a 0.002-second margin. Along the way, Taylor also won the 200 dash at county and was part of the Tigers’ 4×100 relay that placed fourth at state.
