The Old West was deadly fun

Last Saturday and Sunday, Nickel Plate Express (NPX) passengers rolled out of Hobbs Station in Forest Park only to find themselves stranded in the Old West (a.k.a. Earthly Endearments, 155 W. Main St., Atlanta). There were saloon gals, outlaws, delicious food, dancing and … MURDER on the NPX Old West Murder Express. Crimes were solved, killers were killed on the spot, and prizes were handed out.

(Above, top row) Saturday’s prizes went to those who solved the murders. (Above, bottom row) In addition to a grand prize winner, Sunday’s ride had a young man celebrating his 13th birthday. He made off with runner-up prizes and the dead sheriff’s hat. Well done, little buckaroo.

It was like an old-fashioned hootenanny, or hoedown, or maybe a barn-stompin’ good time. Call it what you will, the Old West Murder Express took passengers all the way back to 1891 and entertained them folks right down to the soles of their boots! If you missed the train, hurry up and get tickets for the next one, which is heading back to the lap of luxury in 1950s high-society style. Get your seats at NickelPlateExpress.com.
