Shortly after 7 p.m. Friday evening after the storms had rolled through Cicero, power was out in the most of the town, including Margarita’s Mexican Grill, 150 S. Peru St.
One of the owners, Alfredo de Leon, and his staff told patrons that even the cash registers would not work. They asked patrons to return Saturday, remember what they’d ordered, and settle up then. We hope everyone does. To those of you who do, that’s the kind of thing that makes small towns great.
For those of you who do not, we hope you aren’t subscribers to this newspaper.
