The Westfield girls tennis team, ranked No. 8 in the state, got a 4-1 victory over No. 12 Noblesville Tuesday in an all-county dual at the Shamrocks’ courts.
Westfield swept all three singles matches, with No. 1 Isabella Norris winning 6-0, 6-0, No. 2 Alana Raymond victorious 7-6, 6-3 and No. 3 Addi Kooi toughing out a 6-1, 5-7, 6-2 win. In doubles, No. 2 Brooke Rodgers and Chloe Carlson won 5-7, 6-4, 6-0.
The Millers’ win came at No. 1 doubles; Alli Maskew and Lina Hamashuk won 6-3, 6-1.
Westfield improved to 7-1 and plays at Fishers this afternoon.
Hamilton Heights dropped a 4-1 dual meet to Pendleton Heights on Monday.
No. 1 doubles Jenna Kelley and Maddi Martin won their match 6-4, 6-2, while Samantha Burk played well in a loss.
Noblesville won a 5-0 dual Monday night at Lawrence Central.
The Millers won all three singles matches 6-0, 6-0, with victories from No. 1 Bella Duncan, No. 2 Allie Stamm and No. 3 Josie Flinchum. Both doubles teams won easily; No. 1 Alli Maskew and Lina Hamashuk were victorious 6-0, 6-1 and No. 2 Sierra Leach and Cami Crist were 6-0, 6-2 winners.
Hamilton Southeastern, ranked No. 15, beat Guerin Catholic 3-2 in a Monday dual.
No. 1 doubles Emily Orme and Kaylee Etheredge won the first point of the meet 6-0, 6-0, then No. 2 singles Emma Bieberich got a 6-3, 6-4 victory. No. 3 singles Meghan Slaninka clinched the team win with a 4-6, 6-2, 6-3 victory.
No. 1-ranked Carmel cruised to a 5-0 win at No. 10 Cathedral on Tuesday.
The Greyhounds host No. 17 North Central this afternoon.
Fishers beat North Central 4-1 in a Wednesday dual meet.
The No. 7-ranked Tigers swept the singles, with No. 1 Mischa Briggs victorious 6-0, 6-1, No. 2 Izzy Mokra winning 6-4, 6-3 and No. 3 Caroline Ober getting a 6-0, 6-0 victory. No. 2 doubles Maddie Barron and Meredith Ober won 6-1, 6-2.
Fishers will host Westfield this afternoon in an all-county dual meet.
