The Hamilton Southeastern boys tennis team beat Park Tudor 5-0 Monday in a battle of ranked teams.
The No. 19 Royals took the first four matches in straight sets over the No. 17 Panthers. Andrew Orme then won the No. 1 singles match in a third set super tiebreaker. The final score was 3-6, 7-5, 10-5.
“We had the whole team cheering him on throughout the tiebreaker, and it was great to see Andrew come out on top,” said Southeastern coach Kirk Webber. “He played a great match and left everything he had out on the court.”
In the other matches, No. 2 singles Paul Schneider won 6-3, 6-2, No. 3 singles Rohan Golla was victorious 6-2, 6-3, No. 1 doubles Daniel Verde and Andrew Spirrison got a 6-4, 6-1 win and No. 2 doubles Logan Hubbard and Jackson Bill won 6-0, 6-2.
The Royals finished their regular season 9-7.
Noblesville also finished its regular season on Monday, sweeping Pendleton Heights 5-0.
The Millers won all five matches in straight sets. In singles, No. 1 Noah Bushong won 6-2, 6-0, No. 2 Michael Krukover got a 6-3, 6-1 victory and No. 3 Zach Greer won 6-0, 6-0
In doubles, No. 1 Josh Middleton and Evan Voigt were 6-0, 7-5 winners and No. 2 Will Graham and Jonathan Maskew were victorious 6-2, 6-2.
