The Hoosier Crossroads Conference girls tennis tournament got underway Friday at Avon.
Hamilton Southeastern advanced to the final in three flights. No. 2 singles Adalyn De Witt, No. 3 singles Tea Vrkic and No. 1 doubles Jeorgia Templin and Taylor Cleary won all of their matches in straight sets. The Royals will play Zionsville in all of their matches, as the Eagles advanced to the final in all five flights.
Fishers’ Lucy Loy will play in the No. 1 singles final, and the Tigers will play for third place in three other positions.
Noblesville will play for fifth place at Nos. 2 and 3 singles and No. 1 doubles. Maggie Thomas won a 10-3 third-set super tiebreak to advance to the fifth place match.
Westfield’s No. 3 singles Emma Schwind will also play for fifth place in that division.
Today’s finals have been postponed due to the weather.
