The Hamilton Southeastern boys tennis team, now ranked No. 2 in the state, swept past No. 29 Westfield 5-0 in a Tuesday Hoosier Crossroads Conference dual meet.
The Royals won four of the matches in straight sets, with no. 2 doubles Rodrigo Davila and Nolan Houseman getting past Westfield’s Matt Drozlek and Gavin Dietz in three sets.
Southeastern was coming off a big weekend at the John Shirley Invitational at North Central. The Royals tied with the Panthers for second place with 36 points. Carmel won the event with 37 points. HSE’s Abbi Chaddha won the No. 3 singles flight.
Meanwhile, in other dual meets, the No. 1 Greyhounds won a 4-1 dual meet on Tuesday over No. 3 Columbus North. In another Tuesday HCC dual, Brownsburg beat Noblesville 4-1. Guerin Catholic picked up a 5-0 Circle City Conference win over Bishop Chatard.
