Tennis: HSE & Fishers both swing to victory

The Hamilton Southeastern boys tennis team took care of Franklin Central 5-0 Thursday in a Hoosier Crossroads Conference meet.

No. 2 singles Paul Schneider got the first point with a 6-0, 6-0 shutout win. No. 1 singles Rohan Golla quickly followed with a 6-1, 6-0 victory, and No. 1 doubles Alex White and Leo McVeigh clinched the meet win, getting a 6-2, 6-3 victory. No. 3 singles Logan Bill won 6-2, 6-0 and No. 2 doubles Christian Escasa and Elliot Cox were 7-6 (4), 6-0 winners.

“This is the HSE Team we were waiting to see. We were patient and relaxed out on court. There was no “me” only “we”. Cheering from court-to-court and high energy points got us on-and-off the court. Franklin Central is a young team. I have no doubt that Coach Hanan has brought some amazing energy into this program and he will be able to take it to new heights. I look forward to seeing this program grow through the years.” said Royals coach Graham McMullen.
