Since Monday, visitor restrictions are no longer in effect at Community Hospital North, Community Hospital East, Community Hospital South, Community Heart and Vascular Hospital, Community Howard Regional Health in Kokomo, and Community Hospital Anderson.
The temporary restrictions were put in place at most Community Health Network locations on Jan. 8. They went into effect at Community Hospital Anderson on Dec. 30, 2017. The restrictions were implemented to protect patients from the flu. They included:
- No visitors with flu-like illness, fever, or cough
- No visitors under age 18
- Only immediate family or partner will be allowed to see patient
Community Health Network worked closely with the Marion County Health Department in implementing the restrictions. The Health Department has now determined these restrictions are no longer necessary as the severe flu season is coming to an end.
