The Noblesville Lions Club’s Dodgeball and Cornhole Tournament will be conducted on Saturday, Sept. 11 at the Ivy Tech Gym, 300 N. 17th St., Noblesville. The starting time will be at 11 a.m. with waiver signing, tournament bracket assignment, and rules meetings. The tournament competition will begin around noon.
The tournament will be a double elimination format with two dodgeball leagues and two cornhole leagues. There will be a maximum of 10 teams in each league with a potential of 40 teams in total.
A dodgeball team will have six active players with two optional players as substitutes or retrievers. The cornhole teams will be two-person teams. All teams may be co-ed.
The dodgeball competition will require the best two out of three games to advance to the next bracket. The cornhole competition will require one game victory to advance to the next bracket.
The entry donation is $25 per team in the cornhole competition and $35 per team in the dodgeball competition. The entry donation is completely refundable up to 10 days before the tournament.
The two league winners in cornhole will play each other for the tournament championship. Dodgeball will have two leagues, one recreational for the not so serious players, and one competitive for the serious players. The two leagues in dodgeball will remain separate with tournament champions in both leagues. The tournament champs in both dodgeball and cornhole will receive embroidered baseball caps and the runners-up will receive medals.
Because of COVID-19 screening, everyone is required to enter through the north entrance of the gym. A mask will be required for those who have not been vaccinated.
