Teachers Credit Union announces quartet of new hires

Teachers Credit Union, Indiana’s largest credit union, has announced four upper-management new hires. All four positions all based in South Bend.

Nicole Alcorn – Senior Vice President & Chief Member Experience Officer
Alcorn comes to Teachers Credit Union from Centier Bank and has over 20 years of experience in retail banking. Alcorn oversees TCU’s 55 branches creating an environment that provides an efficient, engaging and meaningful member experience. Additionally, Alcorn works to build innovative products and services that align with today’s financial landscape. Alcorn earned an undergraduate degree from Waynesburg College and a graduate degree from Indiana Wesleyan University. Alcorn stays active outside of work as a volunteer youth basketball coach.

Dawn Lara – Senior Vice President of Operations Administration
Lara most recently helped guide the operations departments of Edgewater Bank in St. Joseph, Michigan and LaPorte (Ind.) Savings Bank. Her career totals nearly 30 years of leadership experience in banking in a variety of roles. Lara oversees day-to-day TCU branch, deposit and loan operations, and partners with Nicole Alcorn to implement processes and procedures that help enhance the member experience. Lara is a graduate of Indiana University Northwest and the Graduate School of Banking at the University of Wisconsin, Madison. She is vice president and executive board member for non-profit Family House, Inc.

Christina Williams – Vice President of Loan Operations
Williams comes to Teachers Credit Union from Fifth Third Bank and has over 20 years of experience in banking. Her career has included a variety of roles from training, retail banking and lending. Williams leads the TCU loan operations team in processing, servicing and quality control of loans while providing members with an excellent lending experience. She is a graduate of Purdue University. Williams is president and executive board member for non-profit Family House, Inc.

Angie Dvorak – Assistant Vice President of Marketing
For the past nine years, Dvorak was with 1st Source Bank, most recently as vice president and manager of public relations, and corporate communications which also included branding and marketing. In her new role, Dvorak is responsible for planning and implementing marketing activities at TCU including advertising and promotions. Dvorak has both undergraduate and graduate degrees of Indiana University. She is a member of the Public Relations Society of America and recently served on the boards of Downtown South Bend and Junior League of South Bend.
