Swimming: Royals sweep North Central

Hamilton Southeastern’s swim teams swept a dual meet with North Central on Thursday.

The Royals’ girls team won 94-92, taking seven of the 12 events. Kendall Dieckman was a double winner in the 100 freestyle and backstroke. Also getting victories were Ellason Miller in the 200 free, Naomi Haines in the 50 free, Lacey Huston in the butterfly, Kinsey Bogaards in the 500 free and Southeastern’s 400 free relay.

In the boys meet, the Royals won 123-57 with eight event victories. Collin Huston was a double winner in the butterfly and breaststroke races. Other first-place finishers were Nolan Pugh in the 200 free, Jihoon Jung in the 100 free, Zach Marchisin in the 500 free, Jacob Frey in the backstroke and HSE’s medley and 200 free relays.
