Pack the Cruiser to help end summertime hunger
The Indianapolis 500 may be in the rearview mirror, but Hamilton County Harvest Food Bank (HCHFB) is gearing up for another race … the race to end summer hunger across Hamilton County.
Join HCHFB from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, May 31 at designated Kroger stores for the ninth annual Pack the Cruiser Food Drive.
In partnership with Kroger, local law enforcement agencies, and HCHFB’s Pantry and Program Network, this event supports children and families with food for the nine-week summer stretch.
How you can help
- Shop for non-perishable foods at your local Kroger stores, then Pack the Cruiser on site. Shopping after 2 p.m.? Drop your donation at a pantry nearest you. Check out org for locations.
- Purchase and donate Kroger food gift cards. Leave cards with an on-site pantry or kids meal program representative.
- Make a monetary donation to the HCH Food Bank designated for kids’ meal programs and pantry support. Just go to org/donate.
Let’s keep the momentum going for neighbors in need this summer. Help Pack the Cruisers, stock the pantries, and support summer meals programs in Hamilton County – one bag at a time.
