A caucus was held Tuesday night by the Hamilton County Republican Party to fill the Carmel City Council seat in the Central District, which was left open after the passing of Bruce Kimball.
A number of candidates entered into the caucus, and Teresa Ayers was selected as the newest Carmel city councilor. She will serve on the council with Sue Finkam for the remainder of the year.
“Teresa Ayers is an exceptional candidate who brings a new and unique perspective to the city council,” Finkam said. “I am excited to work with her to continue and elevate Carmel to new heights.”
