Strong second half gives Sheridan win, 3rd in HHC

Sheridan came out of the second half strong on Friday, and that led the Blackhawks to a big Hoosier Heartland Conference victory.
Sheridan overwhelmed Carroll 60-33 at Hobbs Memorial Hall to finish HHC play. The ‘Hawks completed the season 5-2 in the conference and will finish no worse than third in the league.
The Comets led 7-6 after the first quarter, but Sheridan came back to lead 20-15 at halftime. The Blackhawks then outscored Carroll 20-3 in the third period to take a 40-18 lead and cruised through the fourth quarter.
Ange Gnamkey led the Blackhawks scoring with 15 points, followed by Drake Delph’s 12 points. Gnamkey also pulled seven rebounds, with Nick Burnell grabbing six and Jesse Kolb five.
Sheridan is 10-7 overall and plays at Lebanon tonight.
