Stroll through Carmel Arts District Saturday for IU Health Gallery Walk

Live music will fill galleries throughout the Carmel Arts & Design District during the Nov. 10 IU Health North Hospital Second Saturday Gallery Walk. Dine at one of your favorite local eateries then stroll through the beautiful new exhibits at nine of our galleries. Begin your evening by picking up a Scavenger Hunt Clue Sheet at All Things Carmel for your chance to win great prizes.

Special gallery exhibits will be featured throughout the Gallery Walk including:

  • CCA Gallery is featuring photographer Ken Keifer and jewelry artist Heidi Mandich with their show Roundabout Pleasures – Roundabout Treasures during the month of November. They will host a reception during the gallery walk from 6 to 8 p.m. Save the date for CCA’s Holiday Open House from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 18. (111 W. Main St., #135)
  • Anna Afshar and Una Paris are the featured artists for November at Art on Main Gallery and Gifts. Their show entitled, Landscapes and Cityscapes, From Ireland to Rome will feature Anna’s watercolor and Una’s acrylic works of art from their travels. A reception open to the public will be held from 6 to 9 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 9. (111 W. Main St., #140)
  • Wanderlust Gallery features the work of four artists including owner Vicky Earley, Cathy Patrick, Irina Smulevitch and Susan Grill. Exhibits include contemporary paintings, drawings, textiles and fine art photography. (240 W. Main St.)
  • Join the Digital Media Lab for an evening of live music, refreshments and conversation about creative technology as they celebrate two years as Carmel’s public space for digital creativity. They will also feature photography by Kierstyn Guerrant, student winner of the 2018 Carmel in Bloom Photography Contest. (23 E. Main St.)
  • Art Lab will be open during the Second Saturday Gallery Walk. The month of November will showcase the work of artist Sofiya Inger and her beautiful scarves and paintings. Small works on paper and mosaic coasters by Art Lab director Maren Bell will also be available. (31 E. Main St., #300; enter via 37 E. Main St.)
  • In November, the Carmel Arts Council Children’s Art Gallery will feature student art from Cherry Tree Elementary. The CAC’s Gallery Annex is continuing to feature artwork created by art students from Carmel, Clay and Creekside Middle Schools and Carmel High School. The CAC’s Community Art Exhibit will feature six award-winning artworks from the Carmel International Arts Festival High School Division Art Contest. The CAC’s Winter Art Contest is open to all kindergarten through 12th grade art students. The deadline for all contest entries is 3 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 24.   • Soori Gallery features paintings, bronze and acrylic sculptured works by leading American and international artists. Featured sculptors include Michael Wilkinson, Frederick Hart, Jerry Joslin and more. (33 E. Main St.)
  • The Hoosier Salon will proudly be hosting the Annual Member Show of the Indiana Plein Air Painters Association (IPAPA). IPAPA is an organization committed to the education of Indiana plein air (outdoor) painters and their supporters as well as the reawakening of an appreciation for Indiana landscape painting based on its rich history. Reception from 5 to 9 p.m. with an awards presentation at 7 p.m. (21 N. Range Line Road)

Activities taking place during the Gallery Walk include:

  • Free caricatures and face painting by Custom Eyes Designs (inside SubZero Ice Cream, 111 W. Main St., #130)
  • Free musical entertainment along Main Street by Dianna Davis, Kassey King and Circle City Steel.
  • Be a part of the Scavenger Hunt that will lead you to find select pieces of art or items of interest in each of the participating galleries and businesses. Begin the hunt at All Things Carmel (110 W. Main St., #104). Your completed Scavenger Hunt clue sheet will enter you for a chance to win one of several great prizes sponsored by Carmel Health and Living during the Gallery Walk, including:

– Two ticket vouchers to the Carmel Apprentice Theatre ($36 value)

– Handmade Journal from CCA Gallery & Gifts ($40)
