‘Street Vault’ to honor NHS pole vault coach Mike Hanna

Noblesville pole vault coach Mike Hanna will be honored when vaulters participate in the Indiana Track & Field and Cross Country Hall of Fame Musuem’s Mike Hanna Street Vault, which takes place at 10 a.m. Saturday, July 21.
The first 25 girls, boys, masters and elite to enter for the fee of $30 will be guaranteed entry. All other entries will be made by committee selection. Starting heights will be determined after entries are received. A T-shirt will be given to all entries, with awards to the top three in each division.
Hanna was the first Indiana high school vaulter to clear 16 feet and the first Indiana college vaulter to clear 17 feet. He attended Indiana State University and is a retired principal from Pendleton Heights High School.
