Asphaugh Electric of Westfield sponsored the Sheridan Horseshoe League’s last tournament of the season over the weekend.
The tournament was count-all, handicapped, consisting of five games. After game one Mitch Dwigans of Westfield led all pitchers with a score of 138. Kyle Wethington of Noblesville followed, just six points behind.
In game two, Dwigans widened his lead over the field to seven points. Dwigans continued to stretch his lead to 10 points after game three.
With one game to go Dwigans held a 12-point lead. Genia Stepp of Sheridan moved into second, and Wethington dropped into third place. Stepp and Wethington over took Dwigans in the final game. The final standings were Stepp finishing first with 633, and Wethington and Dwigans tied for second place with 621.
