Stay home and lend a helping HAND Saturday

Hamilton County Area Neighborhood Development (HAND) is holding a fundraiser to help build affordable housing in Hamilton County on Saturday.

This is not your typical black-tie and high-heel affair. In fact, no ties are required-or shoes, for that matter.

Since HAND works to provide affordable housing options for Hamilton County’s low-income residents, they are inviting folks to stay home Saturday night, enjoying the warmth and comfort that comes with having a place to call your own.

Tickets are $75 per household, or $150 for a VIP household. Also, since HAND isn’t paying for a venue or a caterer or entertainment, 100 percent of the cost of the ticket cost is not only tax-deductible, but all the money goes directly to help HAND.

Ticket holders also will have access to a great online silent auction that will close at 9 p.m. on Saturday. Items include a week’s stay at a four-bedroom waterfront house in the Bahamas, a ride in RE/MAX’s hot-air balloon and four floor seats to the IU basketball game on Nov. 22.

If you want a piece of that action or if you simply want to support a nonprofit trying to make our community livable for all residents, snag a ticket here and we will “see” you Saturday night.

If you’ve already bought a ticket, HAND would like to thank you. Enjoy your Saturday in a comfy chair knowing that you’ve made a difference.
