Baldwin

“Your leadership and support for a pro-jobs, pro-economy agenda have positioned Indiana as a national leader in economic and governmental success,” Indiana Chamber of Commerce President and CEO Vanessa Green Sinders wrote in her endorsement letter. “As Indiana faces a rapidly changing economy, we need thoughtful, committed leaders like you to navigate challenges and seize opportunities. Your continued leadership is crucial for our state’s future.”

Baldwin expressed his gratitude for the endorsement.

“I’m proud to have earned the endorsement of the Indiana Chamber of Commerce’s Indiana Business for Responsive Government,” Baldwin said. “When businesses are strong, communities are strong. That’s why I’ll continue to fight to lower taxes, reduce red tape and skill up our workforce so businesses can create more good jobs and keep Main Street and Indiana strong.”

In the State Senate, Baldwin has supported policies to strengthen Indiana’s reputation as one of the friendliest states in the country for small businesses. Those policies include providing $100 million in federal tax relief to Hoosier small businesses, reducing individual income tax rates, expanding eligibility for the state’s venture capital investment tax credit for Hoosier entrepreneurs, and eliminating the state’s ban on “happy hours,” among others. He also supported increasing access to affordable child care to further support Hoosier small businesses and their employees.

Baldwin, with more than 25 years of military and law enforcement experience, is a successful entrepreneur and business owner, a husband, and a father of three.
