Spring has arrived, and the City of Fishers and Fishers Parks are gearing up for a season of exciting new entertainment, outdoor adventures, and beloved community traditions.

From Fishers Freight’s inaugural season at the Fishers Event Center, to the city’s first-ever sprint triathlon at Geist Waterfront Park, to the return of family favorites like Touch-A-Truck and the Fishers Farmers Market presented by IU Health Fishers, there’s something for everyone this spring around Fishers.

National Vietnam War Veterans Day
Friday, March 28 at 2:30 p.m.

Join the City of Fishers, a proud Commemorative Partner of the Vietnam War Commemoration, to celebrate National Vietnam War Veterans Day with a free public ceremony. Fishers Freight Season Kickoff

Fishers Freight will kick off its inaugural season at the Fishers Event Center on Friday, April 4. The Freight will bring the excitement of the Indoor Football League (IFL) to Fishers, joining 16 IFL teams with regional rivalries anticipated with the Green Bay Blizzards and Quad City Steamwheelers. Spring Break Camp: Science Wiz with Miss Liz
April 7 to 11, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

$50 residents, $75 non-residents

Spend your spring break with Fishers Parks and Miss Liz. This S.E.A.M. (science, engineering, art, and math) focused camp is available for ages 5 to 10. Register at FishersParks.com/Camp.

Fishers Art Center Spring Make It Take Its, Classes & Camps

Registration is now open for spring classes, camps, and workshops at the Fishers Art Center, located in the heart of the downtown Nickel Plate District. Fishers AgriPark Opening

A 33-acre urban farm and one of the city’s most unique assets, the Fishers AgriPark is one of the nation’s largest urban farms and pays homage to Fishers’ agricultural roots. Every year, May through October, residents are invited to the AgriPark for u-pick opportunities in the public fields and gardens, animal encounters, and special programming. Kick off Mental Health Awareness Month at opening day of the Fishers Farmers Market presented by IU Health Fishers with the annual Hope for Happiness event. Hosted by Fishers High School and Hamilton Southeastern High School’s Bring Change to Mind student clubs in partnership with the Fishers Health Department, the event strives to raise awareness about mental health and the city’s Stigma Free initiative. Geist Waterfront Park Opening Day

Regular Beach Hours: Daily through Labor Day (Sept. 1), 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.

The 70-acre waterfront park in east Fishers features beach and water access to Geist Reservoir, non-motorized boat launch and dock access for kayaks and canoes, walking trails, playground, and public gathering amenities. Beach access is open seasonally from Memorial Day weekend until Labor Day weekend. Memorial Day Ceremony

Join the City of Fishers to honor the service men and women who have made the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom at this special ceremony. After the ceremony, take a walk around the Central Green and Nickel Plate District Amphitheater to view the light pole banners honoring local veterans and active duty servicemembers in the Fishers community. Get outdoors this spring

From the wooded trails and wildflowers at Ritchey Woods Nature Preserve – one of only two nature preserves in Hamilton County – to bird watching at Geist Waterfront Park and play amenities for the whole family at Holland Park, there’s no shortage of outdoor fun to be had at Fishers’ parks. Take a stroll along the Geist Greenway to the Fishers AgriPark when it opens for the season in May, or walk, run, or bike the Fishers Nickel Plate Trail, stretching five miles from 96th Street to 146th Street.
